The Recorded Sound Archives (RSA) is a unit of FAU Libraries Special Collections department. We are located in the Wimberly Library on FAU's Boca Raton campus.

Originally established in 2002 as a small project dedicated to the preservation of recorded Jewish music, it has matured into a robust digitization operation for all types of sound recordings.

Notes Songs by Alexander Argov

Alexander Argov is one of Israel's best known composers. The King And The Cobbler is one of his best known works which had a successful tour of Europe and the United States. Edna Gorin (check spelling) and Cobey Reft (check spelling) are two interpretive singers of the composer's works.

1) Edna Gorin sings an untitled song about a girl who just wants to dance but dance in discothèques only.

2) Liluv Buderon, Night In The South, is a love ballad sung by Edna Gorin and Cobey Reft and is about a soldier in Israel's South preparing for battle but thinking about his girl.

3) Flee From Me, Abel (no Hebrew title) is sung by Edna Gorin and Cobey Reft and is a biblical song about Cain and Abel.

4) Kol Ha'ier Ro'kedet, is an upbeat song sung by Cobey Reft. 5) Schlomo Ha'Melech Street is love sung by Cobey Reft and Edna Gorin about a girl waiting for a bus in the rain, sees a man looking at her and misses the bus.
