The Recorded Sound Archives (RSA) is a unit of FAU Libraries Special Collections department. We are located in the Wimberly Library on FAU's Boca Raton campus.

Originally established in 2002 as a small project dedicated to the preservation of recorded Jewish music, it has matured into a robust digitization operation for all types of sound recordings.

Notes Songs of Israel/Nahum Heiman

Today's Vistas of Israel program consists of songs from the hand of Nahum Heiman. He is one of Israel's best known composers of popular hits. He has had many of Israel's top hits to his credit. There are 5 of Heiman's songs on this program:

1) Rawnu Ptzhu is performed by the Gabatron Singers and accompanied by the Gilboa Quintet.

2) Kessel, Double is a nostalgic song sung by Hava Alberstein; 3) Hores, Hores, Lechnipo Winter, Winter, Go Away, is a song of the seasons and is sung by an unnamed male group. 4) Ha'Divarim Sher Or'havim, The Things We Love, is a bittersweet song sung by Hava Alberstein. 5) Ha'Gorvir, The Goblet, was one of Nahu m Heiman’s is played as an instrumental by the Kol Yisrael Orchestra.
