Notes Songs of Israel/Igal Bashan

Igal Bashan was a rising singing star in Israel's early years and was discovered in a talent contest. Soon after he was discovered, he was drafted into the army. His talent brought him into the Entertainment Group of the Northern Army Command, where he was still serving at the time of this Vistas of Israel broadcast. There are 4 selections on this program:

1) Carnival (no Hebrew title) is a very lively number.

2) Atz Ha'fon Be A'ha'va,To The North With Love, is dedicated to Northern Command and its members.

3) Chai A'lim Schel Schellig, Snow Soldiers, is a song about the Israeli soldiers defending the cold northern borders of the Country.

4) B'nainu, Between Us, is a song stating that everything between us is or is going to be OK.

Recordings restricted by copyright will only play 45 seconds to give you a sense of what that recording originally sounded like. These recordings can be identified by the words (Research Station) in the music player.
