Notes Music of Israel/Avi Toledano Sings

Avi Toledono is considered one of the most popular singers of the day for the younger generation. Not only does he sing, but he writes most of his musical compositions. At the time of this Vistas of Israel program he was 20 years old and his songs reflect the mood of the younger generation. He came to Israel from Morocco at the age of 16, working on a kibbutz and perfecting his Hebrew. There are 5 selections on this Vistas of Israel program:

1) Where Does The Train Go? (no Hebrew title).

2) La'vat, Alone, is a song of disappointed love.

3) Zohi Yaffo, This is Jaffa, is a song about old and new city.

4) An untitled song about a sailor who will no longer go to sea because there is no one at sea anything like the girl he loves.

5) She'lo lehovotech, Not To Love You; How Could That Be?, is another love song.
