Notes Kibbutz Revivim - 20 Years of Settlement in the Negev (narrative only except some background music)

Today's Vistas of Israel program is the story of Kibbutz Revivim in the Negev which, at the time of this broadcast, was 25 years old. One of 6 original founders of the kibbutz is interviewed by the narrator as are several kibbutz members, current at broadcast time. At first, the only water available came from an old well, which had a heavy content of salt, but was tolerable. Good water was later piped in from the North and the kibbutz grew. It became self-supporting over time by the growing of fruits and vegetables developed by tremendous hard work of the kibbutz members.

Recordings restricted by copyright will only play 45 seconds to give you a sense of what that recording originally sounded like. These recordings can be identified by the words (Research Station) in the music player.
