The Recorded Sound Archives (RSA) is a unit of FAU Libraries Special Collections department. We are located in the Wimberly Library on FAU's Boca Raton campus.
Originally established in 2002 as a small project dedicated to the preservation of recorded Jewish music, it has matured into a robust digitization operation for all types of sound recordings.

| Notes | Festival of Youth in Israel The Festival Of Youth takes place at The International Cultural Center of Jerusalem and includes youth of Arab, Jewish and Armenian backgrounds. The main purpose of the Festival was to give all the attending young people the opportunity to learn of one another's customs and backgrounds by showing films, giving lectures, demonstrations and having evenings of music and dance. There are 7 selections on this Vistas of Israel program: 1) Hevenu Shalom Alechem, We Have Brought With Us Peace To You All is sung by The Kol Yisrael Youth Choir. 0:59-1:20 2) Kol Chalumo is a song in Arabic and is sung by The Kol Yisrael Youth Choir. 2:50-3:43 3) A traditional Arabic love song is sung by 3 Arabic youths accompanied by Arabic instruments. 4:12-4:48 4) The Femous Gavry Duo, a male duo, sing an untitled spirited Hebrew song. 5:48-6:42 5) Cherbim, Cheribom, a Yiddish folk song, is sung by the Femed Daron. 7:17-9:16 6) The Mosquitoes, an Armenian band, plays a traditional Armenian song, Bajungle. 10:07-11:12 7) Effie Netzer is Israel's folk song leader at the time of the Festival sings Israeli folk songs as well as Arabic songs. 11:35-13:08 |
