Notes A Feature Program on the Old City of Jaffa (narrative only)

Today's Vistas of Israel program is the story of the efforts being made to resore and revitalize the old seaport city of Jaffa. An interview is held with the Director of The Old Jaffa Corporation and with the Minister of Tourism. Old Jaffa had become a slum area and the aim was to rejuvenate it with commercial establishments that would fit in and make majors repairs to what was wanted to be kept. Artisans and merchants came to Jaffa to live and work and establish businesses. Several of the business people are also interviewed.

Recordings restricted by copyright will only play 45 seconds to give you a sense of what that recording originally sounded like. These recordings can be identified by the words (Research Station) in the music player.
