The Recorded Sound Archives (RSA) is a unit of FAU Libraries Special Collections department. We are located in the Wimberly Library on FAU's Boca Raton campus.

Originally established in 2002 as a small project dedicated to the preservation of recorded Jewish music, it has matured into a robust digitization operation for all types of sound recordings.

Notes A Musical Program with the Army Entertainment Group

Every Israeli army command has its own entertainment group with its members serving their required military time helping to keep the armed service morale at a high level. The entertainment groups could and did present their programs anywhere anytime. After hostilities lessened, the groups appeared before the general public and their fame grew with many individuals from the troupes winding up entertaining professionally. There are 4 selections on this Vistas of Israel program:

1) Machar, Tomorrow, is sung by The Nahal Entertainment Troupe.2:08-2:51

2) Geshem Ba is a song asking for rain on parched lands and is sung by The Nahal Entertainment Troupe. 3:32-3:50

3) Nishah Chalom Mi She Chalam, To Those Who Dreamt, is sung by The Armored Corps Variety Ensemble. 6:20-9:39

4) Kum Lech El Nineveh, Arise And Go To Nineveh, is sung by The Central Command Variety Ensemble and comes from the a Bible story about Jonah. 10:43-13:40
