Notes A Feature Program on the Jerusalem Youth Band

The average age of the Jerusalem Youth Band is 15. Almost every city in Israel has a band composed of youth, but in Jerusalem the Band is special because it performs in and represents this great and historic City. Yochanim Burm, a well-known music critic, is also the founder and leader of the Band. He is interviewed by the narrator and he discusses the Band's origins. Unnamed samples of the Band's work are played. The scene shifts to an Arab school in Jerusalem that is also developing a band of its own and its leader is interviewed. The future of these and other youth bands in Israel seems limitless.
