Notes The Zamir Choral in Israel

The Zamir Choral from the United States took part in the 7th Annual Israel Music Festival. The entirely Jewish group composed of New York area university students spoke and sung in Hebrew and was led by young man by name of Stanley Sperba who is interviewed on today's Vistas of Israel program. The group is 95 strong, of which 50 came to Israel to perform at the Festival. However, in this particular tour at the Festival all of the group's songs were sung in English. There are 4 selections from the Festival and from the group's LP on this Vistas of Israel program:

1) Every Time I Hear The Spirit is an old Negro spiritual song. 4:43-6:18

2) Ha'zomar Ho'det Hazamar Ha`Noded. 6:55-8:30

3) An untitled Brahms' Lullaby is sung in Hebrew translation. 10:36-11:46

4) Heet Ragut Hitraglut, no English title.12:40-13:13
