The Recorded Sound Archives (RSA) is a unit of FAU Libraries Special Collections department. We are located in the Wimberly Library on FAU's Boca Raton campus.

Originally established in 2002 as a small project dedicated to the preservation of recorded Jewish music, it has matured into a robust digitization operation for all types of sound recordings.

Notes Music of Israel/Haim Hefer & The Palmach Chorus

The Palmach was a Jewish military organization that helped to make Israel an independent country. Haim Heffer was a Palmach member as well as a writer of music and organizer of the chorus named after the group. There are 4 selections on this Vistas of Israel program:

1) Shir HaFinjan, The Coffeepot, is sung by Yaffa Yarkoni and is a song about singing around the campfire while the coffee is being brewed. 1:41-4:46

2) Inyan Shel Offy, A Matter Of Taste, is sung by Shaike and Rivkale. 5:16-8:05

3) Yatzanu At, We Went Out Slowly, is sung by Arik Einschtein. 8:31-11:17

4) Hachisbat, The Tall Story, is sung by Arik Levy. 11:41-13:53
