The Recorded Sound Archives (RSA) is a unit of FAU Libraries Special Collections department. We are located in the Wimberly Library on FAU's Boca Raton campus.

Originally established in 2002 as a small project dedicated to the preservation of recorded Jewish music, it has matured into a robust digitization operation for all types of sound recordings.

This Vistas of Israel program presents the landscape of Israel musically from biblical times to the later part of the 20th century. There are 4 selections on this recording:

1) The Silent Shores is sung by The Rananim Group and is descriptive of Israel's shores. 1:29-4:10

2) Emeck Israel, is sung by The Savid Trio. 4:45-7:48

3) Leilot Ba`Galil, Nights In Galilee, is sung by Osnat Paz and is a shepherd's song. 8:44-11:40

4) The Horseman's Song is sung by an unnamed male singer and commemorates the horsemen who rode in the Galilee and whose presence is still heard through the music. 12:09-13:49
