Notes The Hebrew University Hadassah Medical Center (narrative only)

In Jerusalem mention the name Hadassah and one is told that it was the hospital with that name. In the U.S. Hadassah is the name of the Women's Zionist Organization of America. In this Vistas of Israel program an interview is conducted with the Director of Hadassah Information Services in Israel who discusses the history and operation of the hospital and medical center. The Women's Hadassah organization has partnered with the Hebrew University in underwriting the Medical Center and school and has virtually paid off the buildings' debts and continues to support its maintenance and upkeep. The Dean of the Medical School is also interviewed and discusses the admissions procedures for incoming students who are from many countries besides Israel. Discussions are also held about the various research projects that are on-going.
