The Recorded Sound Archives (RSA) is a unit of FAU Libraries Special Collections department. We are located in the Wimberly Library on FAU's Boca Raton campus.

Originally established in 2002 as a small project dedicated to the preservation of recorded Jewish music, it has matured into a robust digitization operation for all types of sound recordings.

Notes Songs of Israel/Geula Gil

Geula Gil, with her long hair and short skirt, represents the modern flavor of Israel. She is young and vivacious and those traits appear in her songs, of which there are 4 selections on this Vistas of Israel program:

1) Why The Zebra Wears Pajamas. 1:30 - 5:00

2) Nu is from the Hebrew adaptation of Rumpelstiltskin. 5:10 - 8:17

3) Ulai T'dushom, is a children's song and is an invitation to stop fighting, climbing, pushing. 8:42 - 10:48

4)The Lonely Goatherd is a Hebrew translation of the hit from The Sound Of Music. 11:04 - 13:23
