Notes The Israeli Song Festival/Arik Einstein, The Parvarim

The Israeli Song Festival is an annual event and is one of the many "goings on" surrounding Israel's Independence Day. Its original founding was based on the concept of developing new folk and pop musical talent in composition and voice. The event is held in Jerusalem's Convention Center. There are 4 selections on today's Vistas of Israel program:

1) A'yeled Ta'hem, Beautiful Doe, sung by Arik Einstein, was the winning song in the previous year's Festival. 0:55 - 5:01

2) Le'oh Stab, Autumn Night, is sung by Arik Einstein and was this year's winner at the Festival. 5:45 - 8:19

3) Re'ach Ka'puach Miorim Shamee, The Smell And Rosy Redness Of The Apple was the 2nd place winner and is sung by The Parvarim. 8:35 - 10:30

4) Ha'schnaim, is the 3rd place winner and is sung by the duo, Hedva and Da'vid. 11:12 - 12:50
