Notes Songs of Israel/Hit Songs of Israel/Effie Netzer

Effie Netzer, like a number of his peers, got his musical training while serving in the Israeli armed forces. He became a popular singer, composer and accordionist in the services and continued his career after his tour of duty. One of his accomplishments was the organization of the Rothschild Center Singers on Mount Carmen in Haifa. This is a youth group that sings because the group enjoys to sing. There are 5 selections on this Vistas of Israel recording:

1) Ha'venetzu Bim'ichal, Let Us Set Out With Dancing. 0:57 - 3:02

2) Hora Naorim, The Hora Of Youth. 3:51 - 5:54

3) He'nai Ma'tov, Behold, How Good And Pleasant It Is For Bretheren To Dwell Together As One. 6:16 - 8:32

4) Eretz Havat Haluv, The Land Is Indeed Flowing With Milk And Honey. 8:54 - 10:38

5) Nigon Atik, An Ancient Melody. 10:59 - 13:28
