The Recorded Sound Archives (RSA) is a unit of FAU Libraries Special Collections department. We are located in the Wimberly Library on FAU's Boca Raton campus.
Originally established in 2002 as a small project dedicated to the preservation of recorded Jewish music, it has matured into a robust digitization operation for all types of sound recordings.

| Notes | Music of Israel/Songs at the Top The annual Israeli Song Festival is held on Israel's Independence Day and it is always interesting to see how the winning songs of each of the Festivals fare after a few months have gone by. Will the winners be "flashes in the pans" or will they become really popular hits? There are 4 selections on this Vistas of Israel program: 1) A'yella Ta'chen, Beautiful Faun, is sung by Arek Arnschtein was the first place winner of the year's Festival and had become a popular national hit. 2:29 - 5:04 2) Ha'gavia, The Cup, is sung by the Yarkon River Trio was the second place winner and became even more popular than the first place winner. 5:27 - 7:52 3) Ya'fen'ov, Beautiful View, although not even entered in the Festival became a winner with the people, nevertheless. It is sung by Nahama Hendel. 8:28 - 11:10 4) El'emchen, is sung by the Parvrim Duo, did not even "place" in the Festival and, despite that, still became quite popular. 11:28 - * |
