Miriam Avigal is the guest star on today's Vistas of Israel program. She was born in Israel on a farm and learned singing and musical composition as she grew. There are 4 selections on this recording:

1) Introductory untitled song. 0:53 - 3:13

2) Berech Ha'Tavor, The Road To Tavor, is a fanciful song about a young woman who gets a ride from a man on a horse and finds she likes him by the end of the ride to Tavor. 3:51 - 6:33

3) Bat Ha'dayad, The Fisherman's Daughter, is another fanciful song about a fisherman who casts his net into the waters as his daughter prays for a big catch that day. 6:55 - 10:14

4) Pinocchio is a song about the comic creation whose nose gets longer if he lies. It tells the story of the wooden doll's conception and construction and a theme from Bizet's Carmen is the musical composition for the lyrics. 10:33 - 12:58
