The Recorded Sound Archives (RSA) is a unit of FAU Libraries Special Collections department. We are located in the Wimberly Library on FAU's Boca Raton campus.

Originally established in 2002 as a small project dedicated to the preservation of recorded Jewish music, it has matured into a robust digitization operation for all types of sound recordings.

Notes Folk Songs Of Israel

Marta Shlamme, today's Vistas of Israel highlight, was born in Vienna and began her concert career in England via the BBC and later performed in an Israeli nightclub. Ms. Shlamme, a soprano, considers the sing of folk music as her specialty. There are 4 selections on today's program:

1) U'shavtem Ma'yim Ba'sason, With Joy Shall You Withdraw Water Out Of The Wells Of Salvation, is from the Book Of Isaiah. 1:55 - 3:45
