Originally established in 2002 as a small project dedicated to the preservation of recorded Jewish music, it has matured into a robust digitization operation for all types of sound recordings.

Today's Vistas of Israel program is about the landscape of the Country. Within a relatively short time one can travel from one end of Israel to the other and see deserts, green valleys, mountains, lakes, beaches and other beautiful scenery. There are 3 selections on the program:

1) Gamelet, Caravan, is sung by an unnamed female vocalist. One hears the beating of the drum which represents the marching of the camel train. 2:24 - 6:00

2) Lila Bich Nan, Cannan Night, is sung by Shulalit L'vnat . 6:20 - 9:18

3) Shir Aviv, Song Of Spring, is sung by Natania Dovrat with the Kol Yisrael Orchestra and is a children's song. 9:49 - 11:33

Recordings restricted by copyright will only play 45 seconds to give you a sense of what that recording originally sounded like. These recordings can be identified by the words (Research Station) in the music player.
