Notes Israel - The Little Democracy

The democracies of the USA and Israel are compared on today's program, with the USA being called the "melting pot" and Israel characterized as the "pressure cooker", as far as populations are concerned, and how they meld into the individual countries they are. In Israel, at the time of the broadcast, there were 72 countries that have helped to populate Israel's Jews with all their similarities and contrasts. This is shown by the music from the Jews of various backgrounds and continents. The music differs according to where they came from, but the end result is a blending that became a unified country.

Recordings restricted by copyright will only play 45 seconds to give you a sense of what that recording originally sounded like. These recordings can be identified by the words (Research Station) in the music player.
