Notes 25th Anniversary of the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra

The Israeli Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra came into existence in 1936 in what was then Palestine and was organized by the late violinist Branislav Huberman. At the time of the broadcast the Orchestra was celebrating 25 years of existence. Orchestra members are interviewed concerning the positive audience reactions received for the Orchestra performances. A list of the world-renowned conductors and musicians associated at one time or another with the Orchestra includes many from the USA. Some rehearsal music is played for a few seconds during the program as background.

Recordings restricted by copyright will only play 45 seconds to give you a sense of what that recording originally sounded like. These recordings can be identified by the words (Research Station) in the music player.

If a song listed below has not been digitized yet, it will NOT show up within the player. If you need us to digitize this song/album, you can make a formal request here.
