The Recorded Sound Archives (RSA) is a unit of FAU Libraries Special Collections department. We are located in the Wimberly Library on FAU's Boca Raton campus.

Originally established in 2002 as a small project dedicated to the preservation of recorded Jewish music, it has matured into a robust digitization operation for all types of sound recordings.

Notes Calm Sea & Prosperous Journey/Israel Philharmonic Orchestra

The Israel Philharmonic Orchestra gave its first performance in December of 1936 and has been very well received with 186,000 attending concerts each year and has made its first commercial albums for Angel Recordings at the time of these Vistas programs. The Orchestra conducted by Paul Kletzky performs Calm Sea & Prosperous Voyage Overture composed by Felix Mendelssohn.
