Notes | Composers Of Israel: Interview With Hanoch Jacobi When Ezra Latterman, a noted American composer, visited Israel he interviewed a number of Israeli musicians and composers. Mr. Latterman interviews composer Hanoch Jacobi in this broadcast. Born in Germany, Mr. Jacobi received his training there prior to coming to Israel. He is best known as a classical composer, creating symphonic works and chamber music. Unlike some of his Israeli contemporaries, he follows the Askenaz and Sephardic traditions, as opposed to the Oriental or Asian. He claims that Jerusalem and his own musical compositions share a bond of seriousness. |
