The Recorded Sound Archives (RSA) is a unit of FAU Libraries Special Collections department. We are located in the Wimberly Library on FAU's Boca Raton campus.

Originally established in 2002 as a small project dedicated to the preservation of recorded Jewish music, it has matured into a robust digitization operation for all types of sound recordings.

Notes New Voice Of Israel: Itamar Cohen

Itamar Cohen, an Israeli of Yemenite origin, is able to blend musical cultures to reflect the new music of Israel. As most Israeli singers, Itamar began his career while in the Israeli Army. He performed with the National Dance Theater Company.

1) Dabri Shir (Tell Me a Song) is a Yemenite song in which Itamar accompanies himself on a hand drum.0:54 - 3:43
