Notes A Pair Of Loaded Dice: A Program About Archaeology In Israel

Among the many items found at the archeological dig at Masada were coins, pottery, human bones and even a pair of loaded Roman dice!!!

At the time of this broadcast Yigael Yadin was director of the archeological site at Masada. About 200 volunteers and paid workers from around the world participated during the digging season.

In addition to the interview with Yadin, there are also interviews with the diggers themselves. They discuss their findings and their individual reasons for undertaking this sometimes back-breaking work.

Recordings restricted by copyright will only play 45 seconds to give you a sense of what that recording originally sounded like. These recordings can be identified by the words (Research Station) in the music player.
