The Recorded Sound Archives (RSA) is a unit of FAU Libraries Special Collections department. We are located in the Wimberly Library on FAU's Boca Raton campus.

Originally established in 2002 as a small project dedicated to the preservation of recorded Jewish music, it has matured into a robust digitization operation for all types of sound recordings.

Notes Grand Rabbi Moshe Horowitz, Jerusalem-born, Boston-bred, created spontaneous Hassidic songs, nigunim, inspired by the deep well of Jewish feeling and also from the American scene. His son, Rabbi Avraham Horowitz who is the singer on this album wrote, When a Hassid sings he is communing with himself, with the world around him, and, above all, with his Creatorthe first purpose of the nigun is to be uplifting.
