Notes | These seven cantors are among the greatest representatives of the Eastern European style of cantorial art. There are many points of similarity in the biographies of the cantors on this record. They were all born in Russia, began singing in well-known synagogue choirs as very small boys, and where they received their first Jewish musical training. |
