The Recorded Sound Archives (RSA) is a unit of FAU Libraries Special Collections department. We are located in the Wimberly Library on FAU's Boca Raton campus.

Originally established in 2002 as a small project dedicated to the preservation of recorded Jewish music, it has matured into a robust digitization operation for all types of sound recordings.

Notes This album highlights music from the 12th through the 18th centuries. This music can be enjoyed for both its historical value as well as its simple beauty and purity. The album begins with a processional sung by the Lachan Jewish Chamber Choir and then moves on to a 12th century manuscript, Obadiah, with “Baruch Hagever” for men's choir, “Vaedah Mah” for women's choir, and “Moshe Al Har Horeb” for combined choir. A 17th century Italian choral work by Rossi, an 18th century Amsterdam series by Casseres and Lidarii, and an 18th century French “Divertissement” for a circumcision ceremony by Saladin are among the treasures in this collection.
