A’mar Ra’bbi E’la’zar, A’mar Ra’bbi Cha’ni’na: Tal’mi’dei Cha’cha’mim Mar’bim Sha’lom Ba’O’lam, She’Ne’e’mar: Ve’Chol Ba’na’ich Li’mu’dei Ha’Shem, Ve’Rav Shlom Ba’na’ich. Al Tik’rai Ba’na’ich, E’la Bo’na’ich. Sha’lom Rav Le’O’ha’vei To’ra’te’cha [So’ra’se’cha], Ve’Ein La’mo Mich’shol. Ye’hi Sha’lom Be’Chai’lech, Shal’va Be’Ar’me’no’ta’ich [Be’Ar’me’no’sa’ich]. Le’Ma’an A’chai Ve’Re’ai A’dab’ra Na Sha’lom Bach Le’Ma’an Beit A’do’shem E’lo’kei’nu A’vak’sha Tov Lach. A’do’shem Oz Le’A’mo Yi’ten, A’do’shem Ye’va’rech Et A’mo Va’Sha’lom.
Translation
Rabbi Elazar said in the name of Rabbi Chanina: Torah scholars increase peace in the world, for it is said: And all your children shall be learners of the Torah of the Lord, and great will be the peace of Ba’na’ich – your children. Do not read Ba’na’ich, but Bo’na’ich – your builders. Those who love Your Torah have abundant peace within your walls, serenity within your mansions. For the sake of my brethren and friends, I ask that there be peace within you. For the sake of the House of the Lord our God, I seek your well-being. The Lord will give strength to His people; the Lord will bless His people with peace.
