The Recorded Sound Archives (RSA) is a unit of FAU Libraries Special Collections department. We are located in the Wimberly Library on FAU's Boca Raton campus.

Originally established in 2002 as a small project dedicated to the preservation of recorded Jewish music, it has matured into a robust digitization operation for all types of sound recordings.

Notes A Musical Program on 20 Years of Song

This Vistas of Israel program looks back over 20 years of the Country's existence and presents the music produced in that period of time. The Convention Center in Jerusalem was the place for this musical celebration and the program starts off with the period of The War For Independence and continues through the history through music of the 20 years that follow that event. There are 4 selections on today's program:

1) Haamini Yom Yavo, Believe Me, The Day Will Come, is sung by an unnamed female singer.(Shoshana Damari)

2) Harey Ze Efshar,she Yom Ze yiyeh kvar Machar !, Tomorrow, Is It Possible Such A Day Will Come?, is sung by an unnamed female singer.

3) Hamesilah Hegiah LeB’er-Sheva, The Railroad Has Come To Ber Sheva, tells the story symbolically of the conquering of the desert and is sung by an unnamed male group.

4) Facing Mount Sinai, (no Hebrew Title), is sung by an unnamed mixed group.
