The Recorded Sound Archives (RSA) is a unit of FAU Libraries Special Collections department. We are located in the Wimberly Library on FAU's Boca Raton campus.
Originally established in 2002 as a small project dedicated to the preservation of recorded Jewish music, it has matured into a robust digitization operation for all types of sound recordings.

| Notes | Music of Israel/Challenge of the Desert One of the many Israeli achievements has been the conquering of the Negev desert and its change to from fields of sand to an area of farming fertility and settlements. There are 5 selections, none of which have the performers identified, on this Vistas of Israel program: 1) Orcha Ba`Mi dbar, Caravan In The Desert, is sung by an unnamed female singer. 2:36-4:51 2) Eten Ba`MIdbar, I Will Give In The Desert, is from the Book of Isaiah where it is promised to the Jews that the desert will be made to bloom.
