Notes Composers of Israel: Interview With Ben-Zion Orgad

When Ezra Latterman, a noted American composer, visited Israel he interviewed a number of Israeli musicians and composers. Mr. Latterman interviews composer Ben-Zion Orgad in this broadcast.

Mr. Orgad appears to be one of the only Israeli composers who identifies with the culture and aesthetic spirit of India. Latterman and Orgad discuss musical techniques used when composing in the Eastern tradition and the future direction of Israeli music.

Recordings restricted by copyright will only play 45 seconds to give you a sense of what that recording originally sounded like. These recordings can be identified by the words (Research Station) in the music player.
