The Recorded Sound Archives (RSA) is a unit of FAU Libraries Special Collections department. We are located in the Wimberly Library on FAU's Boca Raton campus.

Originally established in 2002 as a small project dedicated to the preservation of recorded Jewish music, it has matured into a robust digitization operation for all types of sound recordings.

Notes Music Of Israel: Songs Of The Nahal

Nahal (The Youth Pioneering Corps) is a special group of the Israeli Army. Young conscripts recieve three months of military training and then are assigned to an agricultural community where they help and protect the settlers.

1) Migal Vacherev (Between The Scythe And The Sword) is the official song of the Nahal. 2:48 - 5:00

2) Milay Macol (Mem Mem) is a song about the lowliest one. 5:32 - 7:30

3) Ha'yikavu La'ha'is (It Is Important To Dare). 7:49 - 8:53
