Notes | Goldie Malavsky often sang solo cantorial compositions as part of the Malavsky Family Choir. Her singing is in the style of the great cantors. Although not possible at the time, Goldie Malavsky's talent was so refined that she could certainly have officiated as a cantor. Y'hi Rotson(May it be Your will) includes the entire petition for a new month of blessings and is recorded in two parts. The concluding prayer, Zochrenu (Remember us) is a sermon in song which is extended into a Yiddish song. |
